DAALconsult AG did develop a simple control unit that allows to consistently perform leak testing of blister packs. To match the large variety of operating procedures used by our clients the control unit is available in several versions. One of these types of our control unit will surely match your needs, too !

Basically the system controls the establishing of a vacuum in a test container (vacuum desiccator, vacuum cabinet, or similar) down to a given pre-set threshold, then actively holds that vacuum level for a defined length of time, finally carefully ventilates the system and outputs an acoustic and optic signal after a second pre-set length of time ("stress period").

Depending on the type of controller the two selectable timers are either programmed as fixed periods or freely settable on a timer relays. The adjacent figure shows a unit with one freely settable timer relays for the evacuation period and one fix (programmed) timer for the "stress period".

In all versions of our control unit the vacuum threshold is freely selectable on an electronic vacuum switch.

Technical data

Consumption:
•  Power: 220 V, 50 Hz., 0.5 Amp.
•  Compressed air for vacuum generator: 5 – 7 bar,
     max. 65 l/Min.
•  Vacuum pump capacity (without vacuum generator):
     ca. 100 l/Min

Performance:
•  Vacuum generator: 100 l/Min., min. 300 mbar
•  Vacuum level: better than ą 20 mbar on threshold
•  Timers: 1 s to 500 Min., better than ą 0.1 s
